    Date Input Mask (2000)

I have someone in the office who wants to create an input mask for a date whereby the inputter only has to enter the month and year eg 06/04 for June 2004. There is a format on (mmm yy) to change the format to Jun 04. I am unable to find a way to do this, but they are convinced that they have, somehow, achieved this in the past but can't remember how they did it.

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.

You can't do that with an input mask. Windows simply doesn't work that way. There are some workarounds:

    - Use an unbound text box with input mask 90/00, and use code in the After Update event to convert the string to a date, and fill in the date field with this.

    or

    - Use separate text boxes for month and year, and use code in the After Update event of each to calcalate the date and fill in the date field.

Thanks Hans, I didn't think it was going to be an easy one to do.

    Regards.
