FP2000 Hit Counter
I have a hit counter on the homepage of an Intranet site. It's one of the default hit counters provided by Front Page, and I haven't changed any settings on it. I just inserted it and let it start counting.
Occasionally, when I make a change to my homepage, the hit counter will reset itself, even though I haven't done anything to it. It doesn't reset every time I make a change to my homepage, just sometimes. Has anyone else seen this happen?

Re: FP2000 Hit Counter
I think this happens when you choose "Publish all pages, overwriting any already on the destination".
I have successfully 'renumbered' the counter when I've done it myself. The file holding the number can be downloaded, edited with a text editor, then uploaded (with FTP if it's on an internet site).
If the counter is in a page named "<font color=red>Default.htm</font color=red>", you should find it in
_private<font color=red>default.htm</font color=red>.cnt
on your intranet site, not your (local) FP web folder.Leif
