Cant shut down WinXP Pro (XP Pro SP1)

I have a user who when she tries to shut down for the night gets the following error message:

Moving....
Windows is currently working with a file.
Either wait for Windows to finish, or close it before you quit Windows.

If you open the Windows Task Manager there is nothing showing in the Applications tab. If I select the Users tab then click on the disconnect button, the machine will shut down. If the machine is then restarted, it will shut down just fine. We have a NetWare environment that we log into. I have not seen this on any other machine that is on our network, around 150 machines. What file is Windows working with that will not allow the machine to shut down? I have Googled this and found a few other posts about this message out there, but no definitive answer as to why this is happening.

Has anyone else come across this? Thanks in advance.

Does she have the option "clear pagefile at shutdown" enabled?
This can noticeably increase the time for Windows to shutdown, depending on the amount of info in the pagefile.

Some utility programs have this option in their programs, or you can do a registry change to enable or disable it.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
