    Transpose (Excel 2000)

Edited by HansV to display data in tables. Formatting with spaces doesn't work in the Lounge.

I have been using the transpose feature to move stuff like

    <table border=1><td>Date</td><td>Metric</td><td align=right>03-dec</td><td align=right>0.493182017</td><td align=right>04-dec</td><td align=right>0.507512662</td><td align=right>05-dec</td><td align=right>0.129039424</td><td align=right>06-dec</td><td align=right>0.839926455</td><td align=right>07-dec</td><td align=right>0.588904246</td><td align=right>08-dec</td><td align=right>0.255511412</td><td align=right>09-dec</td><td align=right>0.258837612</td><td align=right>10-dec</td><td align=right>0.290504787</td></table>
    to this format

    <table border=1><td>Date</td><td align=right>03-dec</td><td align=right>04-dec</td><td align=right>05-dec</td><td align=right>06-dec</td><td align=right>07-dec</td><td align=right>08-dec</td><td align=right>09-dec</td><td align=right>10-dec</td><td>Metric</td><td align=right>0.35</td><td align=right>0.13</td><td align=right>0.26</td><td align=right>0.12</td><td align=right>0.78</td><td align=right>0.59</td><td align=right>0.04</td><td align=right>0.31</td></table>
Is transpose the only feature that would allow you to do that?

    Huh? <img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29>

The second table is not the result of transposing the first one - the numbers are entirely different.

What kind of other feature did you have in mind?

You could also use INDEX formula and change the rows/col labels around. But like Hans mentioned, you did not transpose (unless they are formulas that did not copy correctly)
