    Annoying CharChar Styles (2003)

(Edited by HansV to provide link to post, using <!t>[post#=357927]<!/t> - see <!help=19>Help 19<!/help>)

I really hate the stupid char char formats that word creates. I have tried to run the macro in <post#=357927>post 357927</post#> to strip out the pests, but the macro seems to take forever and then crashes word. Any thoughts? The way I put the macro in was just to copy and paste the code in a new macro.

    Hi Susan,

Perhaps you should try the updated version in this <!post=Star Post,362594>Star Post<!/post>.

Thanks Hans. When I use that version I get a run time error (5170: The Based on style name does not exist or is of an incorrect type).

    Any further thoughts?

Sorry, no. I never (have to) use those macros myself. Perhaps one of the Loungers involved in writing the macros (Gary Frieder, Andrew Lockton, Andrew77) can help.

Try the code posted here: http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/wind...dex.html?page=2. I've run that on several versions and on a Mac.

Double Thanks, this seems to do it - and I've got another great reference website!
