In a macro, use the TransferDatabase action, and select/enter the appropriate info.
In VBA, use DoCmd.TransferDatabase. Here is an example:

DoCmd.TransferDatabase acExport, "dBase IV", "C:ExportFolder", acTable, "tblProducts", "Products.dbf"

Type TransferDatabase in the Visual Basic Editor and press F1 to get online help.

Hans I can't seem to get this working. I tried to export the table using the file menu and export the file as a .dbf file type but it gave me the error "can not define the field more than once" and it just dies. Any thoughts? Thanks..

Check your field names. In DB IV you can only use 10 characters for the field names. As Access truncate the the field names to 10, the first 10 characters of your field names have to be different for each field.
