    Continuous RunTime errors

While surfing, I frequently encounter run-time errors. It happens on various sites. The message box says: A RunTime Error Has Occurred Do You Wish To Debug? [YES][NO].

I always click [NO] and sometimes it just throws up another message box.

I'm using Norton Internet Security - Do you think this could be a problem? I've been using Norton for months but the errors just started happening a few days ago!

I can reproduce a run time error very easily by visiting the eBay site. The aattached address will produce an error everytime. The problem is not restricted to the eBay site, it happens on most sites.

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://listings.ebay.com/aw/plistings/list/category222/index.html>http://listings.ebay.com/aw/plistings/list...y222/index.html</A> This address will create a message box that says: A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: 270 Error: Object expected [YES][NO]

Any ideas would be appreciated. BTW - Using Win98 and IE 5.50.4522.1800IC

Just upgraded to v6, but it did not solve the problem. It's a hassle having those runtime errors pop up for no apparent reason.

    Re: Continuous RunTime errors

Just followed your link - no problem.

    So, I tried the following:
Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
    Disabled: Disable script debugging
Enabled: Display a notification about every script error.

Followed link again and I do get an error popping up, which I suspect may have something do do with the fact I declined their kind offer of a cookie.

I'm obviously living a life of ignorant bliss! For all I know there may be errors on half the sites I visit but, as they say, "What you don't know, you won't miss".

    Re: Continuous RunTime errors

    Hey,

I clicked Tools|I Options|Advanced and placed a check mark next to Disable Script Debugging and that seems to have eliminated the problem.

Thanks Leif, I appreciate your help.

However, I've encountered a brand new non-related problem. I'll post next.

    Thanks again.

Found this message in the IE section. Seems to work. Thanks
