    Design grid unavailable (access 2003-XP)

Sorry peeps, and I know this sounds a dumb question, but I'm all out of steam.
In design view for a query, the design grid (formerly qbe) is not viewable. I cannot also see all of the tables and the horizontal scroll bar is not present. Vertical scroll bar is present but obviously only scrolls up and down the table window.
I am just about to try changing the screen size, but don't hold your breath.

    Any suggestions?

    Advanced filter/Sort - where's that option then?

    TIA

Is this for all the queries or only one ? if the later, switch to SQL view, copy the sql and past it in a new empty query.
If this is the solution, delete the old query.

    Francois,
This was only occurring for the one query. When SQL was copied into new query all was well and design grid is accessible.
    Many thanks
