    ToolBar in WORD (Word 2000)

    Hello!
    I'm encountering a nagging problem and seek advise. I use View>Toolbar>Customize>Reviewing to add the Reviewing tool set to my tool bar. When I close Word and then reopen, the Reviewing tool set is still present. As soon as I open any document, the reviewing tool set vanishes (even if I saved that document with the Reviewing tool set present). Any suggestions??
    Thanks,
    Sean in San Diego.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    I don't have Word 2000, but I think that in that version, the Reviewing toolbar is shown automatically if a document contains tracked changes, and hidden otherwise. Apart from that, the visibility of toolbars is not stored with documents.

    But don't worry, once you switch to Word 2002 or 2003, the Reviewing toolbar will pop up all the time, even when you don't want it! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    Hans;
    Thanks for your reply. I can confirm that even if I open a document with embedded tracked changes, the Reviewing tool set stays hidden.
    Any advise? Driving me bOnKeRs.

    Perhaps there is a macro or an add-in that interferes. Take a look at the steps outlined in Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000),197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000)<!/post>. They may help to find the culprit.
