    Changing Formating (Excel 2000 Pro)

    Hi all!!

I have rosters with social security numbers that are given to me in this way (123-45-6789). However I need to convert them to this format (123456789). If it were only a few socials at a time I would simply delet the Dash from the S.S.#, but I normally get 800-900 at a time and that process is very long and tedious. Can anyone tell me how to change this in an easier way? I have been beating my head against the Monitor trying to figure this out, but to no avail. The only result has been an unsightly bruise on my forehead. LOL!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thanks!!

    Hi Perry,

Select the SS#'s and choose Edit | Replace.
In the Find box type the hyphen (-)
    Leave the replace box blank
    Select Replace All

    Rudi
