What does Project want to save (2000)

A question on this program, version listed. I open 4 schedules and plot after setting up the page layouts and such. When complete, I close each schedule individually with the X selector (upper right corner). The only window left open is Microsoft Project with no file open. I then click the final X and a "save file window" opens. There is no file to save. The close option under the File menu is also unavailable. What does Project need to save when all I do is print files and close them? There appears to be no way to exit Project without saving a file.

Re: What does Project want to save (2000)

Good question but I don't have an answer. You should only have to save the file if changes were made to the project files. I know the project information box is updated with the current date but I don't think that is the issue. Do you have the same problem if you open and close each file independently? Perhaps the flags set on one of the projects is different then the others and requires a save action. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
