    Download Manager (Firefox 1.0)

    Download Manager's grayed out when I go to Options. I can see that nothings checked. How do I fix it?

    Please help, Firefox is my default browser.

    Hi Gloria

    Can you provide some more detail.
    When you click on a link to download a file what happens? Exactly what is grayed out and if possible can you provide a screenshot.

    Above the word Dowwnloads is this sentence.

    These download settings now controlled by Download Sort extension - default settings. Download Sort 2.5.0 is an extension that automaticaly saves downloads to different directories.
    This is probably the reason for the lines being grayed out. Should I remove this extension?

    That extension replaces/enhances the built in download manager, so if you want the default download manager back then either disable or uninstall the extension. It is a matter of personal choice as to whether you want the enhanced capabilities that the extension offers.

    You're right Tony. I'll leave it the way it is for now and change it later if I decide it doesn't perform as expected.
