Compatibility (Access 97)

I am new here. I am glad someone on another forum pointed me in this direction. A lot of useful information here.

My question is if I take an Access 97 database and convert it into a newer version of Access (2002, 2003) Will the users of 97 be able to open/view the converted database?

If I create a database in a newer version of Access will the users of 97 be able to open/view it?

If you convert the database to a later version, it will not be readable in 97.
You can use a 97 version in a later version, but you can't modify the design.
