    Updating Bios

Hey, I tried to update my bios for my Dell and it says to put the file on a 3.5 disk and restart the computer, but when the system reads the disk it says "non system disk please remove or restart"

and i cant run it in dos because i have XP.
    Any suggestions?

    And Hey to you!

You possibly need to choose the Dell download option which will cause the creation of one or more bootable diskettes.

There should also be an option where you can download the FlashBIOS EXE file to the hard disk and then run it. A reboot causes it to be loaded.

Here's what the webpage says for my Dimension 8300 -- your model will undoubtedly be different, so obviously be careful!!
