I just installed MS Office XP ugrade, the Shortcut bar has been removed but it is listed under Microsoft Office tools in the Start menu, but does NOTHING when selected.
How does one get it back, I use it a lot.

Don't know if this will help but (Windows98, Office 97) if/when my disappears I click on Start, Programs, Startup and then click on Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar. You may get a window with message along the lines of "Do you want MS Office toolbar to ...on startup?" It may be different with XP but m/be worth a try.
If the Shortcut Bar isn't in startup you can do a search for MSOFFICE.EXE which is the name of the MS Office Shortcut Bar program name and put it in the startup folder. ...Michael

Perhaps there was some installation option you need to turn on? ...Michael

Found it, it is on the "Media Content" CD. It has a red X in the setup choices, but when I ran the second CD it was installed. I did NOT run the second CD when I first installed Office XP.
