    date task created (project 2002)

    I am looking for a way, formula, macro ....etc to store a date for when the task is added to the plan. I am trying to avoid adding another field that has to be populated by human interaction. We are using this to track new issues and need a date to put the issues in the proper quarter of the year. We need to count new issues every quarter. This has been a manual process and we are trying to automate it.

    There is a field named created and it tracks the date the task was created already in Project. If you right click any field heading in any task based table and select insert column it will give you the field list. Select the created field.
