    Windows XP Update (WinXP SP2)

I am unable to access Windows Update via IE 6.0. No matter how I enter http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ in my browser (IE 6.0 SP2), the page that URL delivers is completely blank. I seem to be able to access any other MS page, but no attempt to link to the Update URL is successful.

I run Zone Alarm Pro (5.5.062.004) and NAV 2002, both up-to-date, and have even tried accessing the Update URL with Zone Alarm shut down and NAV disabled, but there is no change in the result. I also run Pest Patrol, but on or off, I still get a blank Update URL page.

Am I doing something wrong? I do not have this problem with any other URLs. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks, John, that seems to have worked for me, although I had to change my IE Security/Internet settings to Default. However, I wonder if this compromises anything, or should I set them back to the custom levels I had before?

If the security settings were higher than "default" prior to this, I would probably reset them. Then add Windows Update to your list of "trusted" sites. This should eliminate any further problems.

Thanks again, John. That's what I've done.
