    Opening workbooks (Office 2000)

When I open an existing Excel 2000 workbook, it automatically opens a blank workbook with it. I am not having this "problem" "feature" with Excel XP. How can I turn this off?
    Thanks John

See Pieterse's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL,290455>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL<!/post>. I would start with the /regserver option mentioned in that post:

    Select Start | Run...
Type "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeExcel.exe" /Regserver and click OK.
(If Excel was not installed in the default location, modify the above path accordingly)
