    insert dates HELP! (excel)

    Hello all, i have a sheet with a lot of dates with values behind it. Now i want to insert all missing dates with the value 0.
    Is it possible to do this automatic

    You can create a new column with dates: enter the start date, then select Edit | Fill | Series... to fill down until the end date.
    In the column next to the dates, use a formula with VLOOKUP to get the corresponding values. See attached version.

    Alternatively, you could use a macro. Post back if you need that.

    If you are trying to "lookup" the dates in column A into the range in Cols D/E and want a zero (0) if it is not found, then you can use the formula (eg in B2)

    <pre>=IF(ISNUMBER(VLOOKUP(A2,$D$2:$E$246,2,0)),VLO OKUP(A2,$D$2:$E$246,2,0),0)</pre>


    And then copy this down col B (from B3:B190)
