    Changing Date Format (Access 2000)

I am trying to create a macro to reformat date information. What I need is the date to be set up as yyyy-mm-dd and it needs to be text. I know there is a way but I am not sure how to get there. Current in Excel I do =text(yyyy-mm-dd) then import to my database. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

I assume that you have a date field in a table, let's say it is named MyDate.
Create a query based on the table.
Add a calculated column to the query grid:

    DateAsText: Format([MyDate],"yyyy-mm-dd")

You can add other fields from the table if you want. You can use this query as record source for a form or report.

Thanks HansV I guess this would be a lot easier then creating a macro. How would I update this new information in the current column [MyDate]? This site rocks and I'll be back!
