    lock/unlock fields (word 2000)

    just a quick question.

i know you can lock a field using ctrl+f11 and unlock using ctrl+shift+f11.

what i would like to know is, is this posible to do via a menu or do you need to do the above keyboard command? all that help seems to tell me is the above shortcut.

    cheers

There are no menu items or toolbar buttons for this in the standard configuration, but you can easily add them if you like:
    - Select Tools | Customize...
    - Activate the Commands tab (if necessary)
    - Select Tools in the list of Categories.
    - Scroll down the list of Commands until you see Unlock Fields.
    - Drag this item to a convenient menu or toolbar location.
    - Repeat for Lock Fields.
