    change mouse pointer (2003)

Is there a way to change the mouse cursor to an hourglass while a query is running? What I have is a form that is linked to a different form based on a query. It takes about 4 or 5 seconds for the form to open. Users click multiple times since the form doesn't load right away and the mouse doesn't change. Is this possible?

    You can use :
    DoCmd.Hourglass True
To reset the mouse pointer to normal use :
    DoCmd.Hourglass False

Is assume you use an instruction with DoCmd.OpenForm to open the form. You can precede this with an instruction

    DoCmd.HourGlass True

In the On Current event of the form being opened, you can return the mouse pointer to normal:

    DoCmd.HourGlass False
