Macro Writer (Windows XP Professional)

Back in the old days we had macro writer programs to make doing repetitive tasks easier. Now we use most of the key combinations for shortcuts in MS Office. Is there still a macro program I can use to enter repetitive data, outside of MS Office, like my E-mail address or my screen name?

You're probably not going to like the sound of this, i.e. $99 pricetag, but I've been using QuicKeys ever since it first came on the market and wouldn't be without it. To be honest, I've not searched the web to see if there's a shareware or free one around, since my cost is long since sunk. So much so that I'm still using Version 1 and I think they're up to Version 3 now. I use it almost entirely for generating repetitive text but that only scratches the surface of the program's capabilities. Just be careful when Googling, and you already know this for you worded your post carefully, when you use the word "macro" everyone automatically thinks of the Office product line!

If it is primarily for form filling check out Roboform.
