    String Handeling Question (Access VBA)

For some reason, string handling always seems slightly beyond my ken... What I am trying to do is this: for each record in an Access table, if the length of content of the field is greater than 11 [len(rst![Field]) > 11] then I want to find and cut off the trailing digits. I can get the code to find the trailing digits but my attempt to trim after that gives me bad things.

I know someone here has a solution! I'm sure eventually I'll stumble on to something, but I'd appreciate some assistance as I need to get moving on this project.

    TIA

Look at the Left function. Basically, Left(MyField, 11) would return the left 11 characters of that field.
