    sum of columns (2000)

Hi, I have a column with monetary values, in another column for each value there are one of three options say A B C. I need a running sum of each monetary value
where it's corresponding cell in the other column reads A. How can I code this?

    Thanks Darren.

    Re: sum of columns (2000)

Say that your monetary values are in A1:A100, and the A, B or C in B1:B100. To get the sum of monetary values with value A in column B, use

    =SUMIF(B1:B100,"A",A1:A100)

Look up the SUMIF function in the online help for details.
