    Hyperlink colors (Excel 2000)

    Happy Holidays everyone!

Is there a way to prevent a hyperlink (that goes to different tabs) in Excel to change from the normal "blue" to the "maroon" color after it's been clicked? I looked at the format and I can't seem to find anything there.

    Thanks,
    Louise

Select Format | Style..., and modify the Followed Hyperlink style to use the same font color as the Hyperlink style.

I think you'll find your hyperlink colours are determined in Control Panel|Internet Options|General|Colors (bottom left). As this is not an Excel-specific change, you may not wish to alter this. Changing this on another user's machine could probably mean: capturing their settings from the registry (in case they are non-standard), changing them while the workbook is open, and then changing the, back when the workbook is closed. In that case, you should be able to set up a VBA routine to instate that Style on any workbook you choose. HTH
