Removing Duplicate Values from ComboBox (Access2000)

Of course I have a form that feeds a query so I can pull back any search criteria I put in. The query would have: Like [Forms]![name of form]![name of field] &"*".

The problem is that one of the form's combo boxes is pulling from a table that has duplicate names. I could create a query and total them up to show once, but it would be nice to use one master query for all my searchhing needs. Are there any suggestions on how to manage/filter/group the combo box list so that I can show ten copies of a name once? There are some other fields I would like to use with the combo box tool that are also not unique. It seems strange that there does not seem to be a filter capability for the box properties.

If I understand you correctly, you would like to use one query as row source for all your search combo boxes, and still have each combo box display unique values only. I don't think that is possible. You'll have to use row sources of the form

    SELECT DISTINCT FieldName FROM QueryName

to display unique values of FieldName.
