OLD database access by Access (Access 2000)

I have an old database with six files 3 of each .DB and .IDX
I don't know the base for the database since it was bought as a package and the original has long since gone - either DOS or Win95.
I'd like to rfecover or have access to these files but they do not appear to be recognised by Access or any current 'Office'.

Is there any suggestions as to what these are and what I can do with them?

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and wish you all a good and Happy New Year

    Regards

    Duncan

Might be Paradox files. Do you have all the filters installed for importing info from other sources? Paradox should be on the list.
