Importing from Netscape (Version 6.0.2900.2180)

I'm having trouble importing my "bookmarks" from Netscape into the "favorites" folder for Internet Explorer.

In IE, I click on the File menu to get the import/export wizard. Of the choices I am given, I highlight "Import Favorites" and click "next." Then the dialogue box has two options:
a) import from an application... This is grayed-out; I can't select it, although this is probably what I want.
import from a file or address... I then tried to find where the Netscape bookmarks were kept; I found a couple places where I thought they were, but when I did the cut-paste routine, it didn't work.

Any thoughts ?

You will need to export them to a file from Netscape and then import them from that file in to IE.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

What does "cut-paste routine" mean?

BTW Netscape has (at least from version 4.x onwards) always stored its bookmarks in an HTML file called "bookmarks" - a policy which has been carried on by Mozilla and Firefox. If it is one of the mnore recent versions of Netscape, the file may be in a a hidden folder in your ....[username]Application Data directory. Make sure you have your Control Panel|Folder Options set to show hidden files and folders in order to search for the file. ]
