Thunderbird not compatible with XP (Thunderbird 0.9)

On installing windows XP l cannot get Thunderbird to work. OE works fine but when l import email settings to Thunderbird l get error. My password is correct as settings work fine in IE. Any assistance would be appreciated as l really don't want to go back to using OE again.

See attachment for errors l get.

    Justin,
If you have your mail and addresses imported, could you just build a new set of settings?

As for accessing the mail server, I had a similar problem with Thunderbird. (It's not about XP - it's your mail server). I did get around the password thing. I think you might need to look at your username for the account in Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings. Make sure the field for User Name is set to username@mailserver.com instead of just username
