    Rambus Memory Question

I have two sticks of RAMBUS memory . The label on each stick identifies it as follows: "256MB/8 800-45" . Does this mean I have a total of 512 MB of RAMBUS memory or a total of 256MB, since you must install in pairs.

    Thanks for any help.

I'd say 512 MB. What does your system tell you?

System died a few months ago. I have just been storing the memory.

Have you considered checking with the manufacturer of the RAM? Frankly, I'd find the nearest trash can.

    Hey - outside of price, there's nothing wrong with RAMBUS - and yes - 2 X 256 - 512Mb
