    Menu Button (Access 2003/Windows XP)

    HI all,
I have a client who wants a button on the menu bar so he can just click his mouse on a button to fax any report. I put a Print and Close buttons on the Main Menu. I would like a button that would either bring up the screen you get when you depress the Control and 'P' keys, or would bring up the Fax wizard. I can not find anything in the help or books I have that helped me.
I see we still do not have a Cow Hampshire flag!

    Thanks Sarge <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16>

Create a function in a standard module:

    Public Function DoPrint()
    RunCommand acCmdPrint
    End Function

In Access, select Tools | Customize...
    Activate the Toolbars tab.
Tick the check box for Print Preview.
    Activate the Commands tab
Drag the "Custom" item to the Print Preview toolbar.
Right click the new item on the toolbar.
    Select Properties.
Change its Caption to Print... or something similar.
Enter DoPrint in the On Action box.
    Click OK.
    Activate the Toolbars tab.
Clear the check box for Print Preview.
    Click Close.

Alternatively, you can create a custom toolbar with this and other useful buttons for reports, and specify the name of this toolbar in the Toolbar property of reports.

    Thanks Hans,
Sorry I took so long to thank you for your help! My head is feeling better as I can stop banging it against the Keyboard, wall, etc.
