    Outlook Today (Tasks) (O2K sr1-a)

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE BEST BOARDS ON THE NET!!!!!

But business must go on... So:

On the Outlook Today page, is there a way to hide the completed tasks? I've tried different time periods, but the finished tasks are still showing...

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Try moving the tasks to either a subfolder of Tasks or to a separate (non-default) Tasks folder. (Tested on OL 2003 - am not running OL 2k). HTH

But then, another folder won't be "on display" in "Outlook Today" will it?

Yes, unfortunately, you would have to move all the relevant tasks to a "completed" subfolder. Thus, you would have a Completed Tasks and an Uncompleted Tasks folder. HTH

It'd be neat if you could automate this, maybe a macro...

...switch to a view of done tasks" , select all, move to new folder...back to Tasks folder, switch view back...

Is this anything vbasic maybe could handle?

Outllok Today is in fact an HTML page within part of the Outlook program (rather than standalone). AFAIK it can only be customised (in a very limited manner) if you are using the version that has an in-house MS Exchange mail server.

Perhaps some other Lounger can comment on whether it is possible to code it. In any event, from memory, you are not connected to an in-house MS Exchange mail server in any event.

You're right on all those parts...

Well, it was worth a try...

There is a complicated set of instructions for customizing Outlook Today. Search for those kinds of keywords here to get a link to MS. I didn't pursue it enough to say whether it works for tasks stuff.

    I'll take a look... Thanks...

BTW... TOTALLY non-related... Is there a way to increase the font of this board -- the font used for typing, like this note as I type?

    Chuck

The Lounge's fonts are coordinated as a set based on your "skin." There are small, medium, and large font versions of most skins. Look for the "Quick Skin Switch" link toward the top of the page for more info.
