    802.11g and cordless phone

I am about to buy a wireless network for two PCs. I remember reading about possible interference between cordless phones using the 2.4 Ghz band and wireless networks using 802.11g. The Panasonic cordless using that band is on the other side of the house (about 50 ft away). How can I make this work?
Also, are the USB wireless cards as good as the PCI cards?
    Thanks,
    Dan

(This is all my experience, your mileage may vary)

I have a couple of PCI wireless cards, as well as PC cards. They seem equally effective.

If my cordless phone is within a few tens of centimeters of an 802.11g card then it seems to cause interference, but not when it is many meters away.

Thanks, Stuart. I have set up the network and the wireless part is working fine - signal strength very good.
I now have another problem: the wireless PC and the wired-to-the-router PC don't see each other. I am going to put that on a new post.
