    Office install - macro menu disabled

    Office 97
    Hi ya - I dont know if this is the right forum or if it should be in Word.

    A user re-installed office 97 on the Citrix server.
    Now when I go into the code Word >Tools>Macros.
    The option macros is grey out or disabled.

    He mentioned he did a standard install with office 97.
    I've never come across this before & when I've done a standard install of office, I always been able to get into this option.
    I know how to add menus & remove menu items within Word/Office.

    Is there a setting when you install, to not install the VB component.
    This is under custom install?
    Is there a security setting in network admin where you can disable the menu options in office?

    Any suggestions much appreciated

    Resolved Re: Office install - macro menu disabled

    This issue resolved - was a virus on the normal.dot.
    When the guys rebuilt the citrix server didnt install the virus scanning software.
