    DSO Exploits

Spybot always finds some exploits to remove, and says that it removes them. However, the "DSO Exploits" it finds are always right back, even if I run Spybot right after the removal process. There are five registry incidents related to this on each of my three desktops (six on my laptop), all referring to Internet Explorer registry items.
I recently did a total system rebuild (replacing a failed C: drive on my most powerful PC) and these expoits were not there, so I recorded the registry entries without the DSO exploits. However, within 24 hours the rebuilt system was similarly affected.
The Spybot info field refers to long-known (multi-year) IE vulnerabilities that have known by Microsoft but not patched. Should I be concerned about these? If so, how may I remove them without them being immediately regenerated?
    Thanks.

    Re: DSO Exploits

There is an explanation of this in the FAQs on the Spybot Search & Destroy website .

<hr>What you describe is a bug in the newest version of Spybot. DSO Exploit is a security flaw in Internet Explorer that will no longer affect you if your IE and Operating System is fully updated. Of course if you're not fully updated you should get that way.

An official explaination and discussion with what your options are (if you read the whole thread) here:

This is confusing a lot of people so I'm going to pin this topic. I'll come back later with a clearer explaination of what should be done when this happens. But for right now, just ignore it.

    Hope this helps.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
