Windows Explorer

One feature I used to like years ago in Laplink was the ability to sync two folders, i.e., each folder would end up with the latest versions of each file that is present in at least one of the folders. I need to do this with multiple folders now, due to a recent system rebuild and multiple-week use of a backup PC while waiting for Gateway to ship the replacement hard drive. Is there a utility that does this within Windows XP Home? If not, is there a shareware utility?

Here's a few possibilities:

o Synchronize It! -- Powerful directories and archives synchronization, folder comparison tool, last ware version here.
o SyncFolders Synchronises two folders and all subfolders within. Good for a quick backup or copying files to a laptop. Works faster than windows briefcase and backups are more portable. ware
o XXCOPY, a Versatile File Management Utility, in particular see the XXCOPY Cookbook: Recipes of common usages section.

Here's another good program: Karen's Replicator. You'll also find several other tools at the site.

The IE/WE synchronize tool doesn't seem to do what I want. Thanks for pointing it out.
