    Document History

I used TweakUI to clear the Document History at logon. Later I cleared this option, but the document history is still cleared at logon. Where is the registry key that I can use to restore this function

The setting is a per-user setting. Do you mean logon after a boot or just a user logoff/logon? Have you re-booted more than once? Have you double checked to see if the change really is in effect?

As a stand-alone machine, it is always logged on as Administor. The document menu works, but always clears after a reboot

    Look for this registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersionExplorerStartMenuStartMenuDocumentsClearDocs

I think you should be able to delete it. Back it up first just to be safe.

    Re: Document History

I found a couple of Start Menu keys, listing Start Menu Programs, but no Clear Docs or ClearDocs keys or anything similar

    What about:

    HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPolicies Explorer
    "ClearRecentDocsOnExit"

--and the same value in HKLM
