    Icon in tray-area & restore (VB6)

Using VB6, making small util. Want to:

    * show form on screen with task-bar entry (this is default and normal behavior - and thus works fine)
    * click a button called "Minimize to tray", now (1) the taskbar entry should disappear (2) a tray icon should appear
    * if I click on the tray, I should either get a menu to restore or it should restore directly

I found some code to create a tray balloon but this doesn't cope with minimizing to the tray and restoring from there...

Anyone with some stripped code examples maybe?

From the depths of a foggy memory, I think you may have to use C++ for the icon issue, but it's been a long time since I've looked at that. There used to be a utility called WatchCat, written by a Belarussian, that performed excellently prior to WinXP. Updating stopped ca. 1999, but the code was issued under the GPL. HTH

After some waiting for suggestions, I lookd around at some VB sites and found code that -after slight re-work- helped me do what I needed.

Thanks for your suggestions anyway ;-)
