Because I enjoy living in terror...

    Okay...

I've finished a working version of the comic book script template. It's too large to attach to this message, but it's available for download at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.stevegerber.com/template_beta.html>http://www.stevegerber.com/template_beta.html</A>.

The zip file at that URL also contains the requisite INI file, a brief script sample (from an upcoming Superman book) written using the template, and the installation instructions I sent out to my vict-- er, beta testers.

Feel free to download, examine, and critique at will.

I'm fully expecting to be charbroiled (for all the "Goto's," if nothing else), but I'm willing to learn.

Just one caveat: Please don't ask "Why did you do such-and-such THAT way?!?" The answer will always be the same: "Because I didn't know any OTHER way!"

On the other hand, I'm completely receptive to constructive suggestions, such as: "Do it THIS way, dumb*ss!"

Cringe and learn -- that's my motto!

(Seriously, I'm looking forward to any comments you may have to offer.)

    Steve,

Quite a piece of work there. Well done.

Just a quick bug report as I clicked around. The Note to Artist has an unsupported method: .BoldRun (???) Must be a typo

If you want the text bold, apply that property to the .font property (you know that, I know)

Actually, more like "half-baked." I've already found (and corrected) one major error in the code vis-a-vis the INI file.

I've already posted a new version (same URL) that, er, actually runs.

Hunh. Sounds like something I meant to change or forgot to delete. Thanks for catching it, Kevin.
