    duplicate pop3 email (Outlook 2000)

    Hi there,

I am using Outlook 2000 to download email from my pop3 (Groupwise) mail server. From time to time I got duplicate emails downloaded. I have set Outlook 2000 to leave msg on the server. Microsoft has a fix for Outlook 2003. Does anyone know if there is a fix for Outlook 2000?

    Thanks

Microsoft has post-service pack hotfixes for Outlook 2002 and 2003, but not for Outlook 2000, and I doubt that they will release one. Microsoft usually updates only the latest and next to latest Office versions, not older versions. Turning off "Leave a copy of messages on the server" is probably the only workaround available.

    Hi Hans,

Thanks for the info. Do you know if there is any fix for Outlook Express as well? I have installed Win XP SP2 and apply all patches already. Since there was no fix for Outlook 2000, I tried Outlook Express 6 and ended up with the same problem.

Even if I have moved the message to another folder on my Groupwise account, it still duplicates itself when it comes to Outlook Express or Outlook 2000.

    Thanks
