    min application (2000)

    Hi, is there a way to minimise the Access applicaiton window and just have user forms displayed?

    As I have learnt from Getz Litwin etc. on page 587 of Access 2000 developers handbook: "Access is an MDI application and the child windows must remain within the parent window. You cannot drag or size child windows outside the parent."
    So unless there is some unbelievable work around- the answer seems to be no

    Explore the startup option under Tools (using version 97). This will probably get you what you want.

    If you want something that doesn't look like Access, you aren't going to be satisfied. Unlike VB apps, Access forms exist only within the parent main window. There are draconian tricks using the Win API to hide the main window, but they aren't worth the effort.
