    Calendar Issues (Outlook 2K)

    Anyone encounter Outlook 2K functioning fine for email but either locking up or shutting down when the calendar portion was used? I thought there were some utilities for the Exchange side of an account that would repair issues with the calendar or scheduler....but I can't seem to find any info to confirm my memory.

    It would help if you gave a few more specifics on when and how Calendar locks up and the error messages, if any. Also, you could try the maintenance steps in <!post=this post,441752>this post<!/post> and the posts it references.

    Here is the client's description, quote:

    When checking the attendees availability for a meeting request, client receives the following error message " Outlook has encounter a problem" and the application automatically shuts down. The detect and repair has been tried to correct the problem, field services has been out to repair the Ms Outlook through add/remove programs. Client is still having the same issue.

    I had thought there was a fix which involved running some utilities on the Exchange side of the system.

    That result isn't good. It won't hurt to use the maintenance steps I suggested and see if they help, but it does sound like a server-side problem. I don't know the server side, perhaps another Lounger can help.
