exporting calender and importing to other user (Outlook XP (Dutch))

    Goodmorning,

I think I have an easy question, but I can't seem to be able to get it right.
I want to export an user's calender to another user (just a copy). Is this possible?! I've tried to export an .pst file and a .pab file, but I'm doing something wrong!
Does anybody have a good suggestion?

    Many thanks in advance!
    Daphne

    Hi Daphne,

To export to a .pst file:
    - Select File | Import and Export...
    - Select Export to a file
    - Click Next
    - Select Personal Folder File (*.pst)
    - Click Next
    - Select the Calendar
    - If it has subfolders you want to export too, tick Include Subfolders
    - Click Next
    - Enter a path and file name or click Browse...
    - Click Finish when you've specified the file

To import in someone else's calendar:
    - Select File | Import and Export...
    - Select Import from another program or file
    - Click Next
    - Select Personal Folder File (*.pst)
    - Click Next
    - Enter the path and file name, or click Browse...
    - When you have specified the file, click the desired option for handling duplicates (what to do if the calendar already contains an appointment identical to one in the .pst file)
    - Click Next
    - Select Calendar
    - Make sure that Include subfolders is set the way you want
    - Make sure that Import items in the same folder is selected, and the correct mailbox (if you want to import into the Calendar)
    - Click Finish

If that doesn't work, what goes wrong?

Re: exporting calender and importing to other user (Outlook XP (Dutch))

    Good afternoon Hans,

I see that I've been a dumb blonde.... I've tried to import the *.pst file which I found in the user's profile (I can reach the server with the userprofiles) - that means that I didn't make a 'calendar' selection. So anyway, I went to the user, and exported and imported the right parts...
I thought it would be quicker to go 'onderlangs', but it took more time anyway!

    So thanks again!!!

    Daphne
