    Timer object in Word? (2000/XP/2003)

    Is there some kind of built-in timer object in Word? I vaguely recall seeing something about it long ago, but can't remember where.

    Thanks...

    No, but you can use Application.OnTime to call a macro. You can let a macro call itself to run it with regular intervals:

    Sub Test()
    ...
    ...
    Application.OnTime Now + TimeSerial(0, 2, 0), "Test"
    End Sub

    Test will run every two minutes

    Note: VBA has a Timer function that returns a Single representing the number of seconds elapsed since midnight.
