    Excel Combo Box (Excel 2000)

I need help. I am revising a document someone had initially set up. I added a activex combo box for job code. My problem is I can't seem to figure out how to add the list to the combo box. I have attached a sample of the form. Please see status type for the example of how I want job code to work.
    Any help wouuld be appreciated.

    Thank you!

Re: Excel Combo Box (Excel 2000)

The ListFillRange for the Job Code combo box has been set to the named range Band, it should be the named range JobCodes. Modify it as follows:
    - If the Control Toolbox is not visible, right click any toolbar and select Control Toolbox from the list.
    - If you are not in design mode, click the Design Mode button on the Control Toolbox (the first button in the default layout). The button should be "down" (on).
    - Click on the Job Code combo box to select it.
    - If you don't see the Properties window, click the Properties button on the Control Toolbox (next to the Design Mode button).
    - Locate the ListFillRange property. It is set to Band. Change it to JobCodes.
    - Close the Properties window.
    - Turn off Design Mode.
    - Test the combo box.
Note: the Job Codes range (=Codes!$O$3:$O$1000) contains a lot of blanks, so the dropdown list will contain a lot of blanks. You can make the range dynamic by redefining it to refer to
    <code>=OFFSET(Codes!$O$3,0,0,COUNTA(Codes!$O:$O)-1,1)</code>
Each time the workbook is opened, the list will be read anew.

Re: Excel Combo Box (Excel 2000)

    One more question....

The list is appearing on my combo box but the font size is large. How do I resize the font? My font size on my codes sheet is already set to 8 but when it appears on the combo box it's larger.

    Thank you! <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

Re: Excel Combo Box (Excel 2000)

Turn on Design Mode (as described in my previous reply).
Select one or more combo boxes (use the Shift key to select more than one).
Display the Properties window (as described in my previous reply).
Click the ... to the right of the Font property.
    Select a font size.
    Click OK.
