I'm trying to publish my internet public key (x.509 certificate) by sending an encrypted email to an Outlook 2002 recipient. When the Outlook recipient receives the encrypted email, there is no text in the email (since it's encrypted) and the document properties indicate there is one hidden attachment (s/mime.p7m), which I believe is the x.509 certificate.

When the user right clicks on the from sender data and attempts to save the sender info to their address book, it prompts to update, but the certificate is not being updated in the contact info. Nothing appears under the certificates tab.

According to the MS Outlook 2002 SP3 help this is all that should need to be done to capture the public key thereby enabling s/mime email encryption.

Anyone with any clues why this doesn't work?

Thanks, Jerry
