    In a table of 3 columns by 3 rows, fill up the spaces with letters arranged to read 3 valid words across and 3 valid words down. You cannot repeat a word already used, and the words to you use must be valid dictionary words.
    ie:
    ? ? ?
    ? ? ?
    ? ? ?
    (3 words down and 3 across, all must be valid 3 character words...)
    Try it out!!!

    Well done Tony, Jezza and Tricky!

    I had to chech some of those words, like "Wed, Ted, Aga, and Lye"...and found them in Dictionary.com! I thought they were pushing the boundaries, but I can't complain, as they are valid!!!

    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold">It's interesting to note that its virtually impossible to solve if you have a vowel in the middle. It has to be a consonant!</span hide>

    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold"> <pre>S P Y
    T <font color=blue>E</font color=blue> E
    Y A W</pre>

    </span hide>
    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold"> <pre>S P A
    L <font color=blue>E</font color=blue> I
    Y A M</pre>

    </span hide>
    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold"> <pre>S P A
    K <font color=blue>E</font color=blue> G
    I R E</pre>

    </span hide>

    The "E" came pretty easy. Other vowels will take a bit more thought but I'm thinking that a center line word like: <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold">OUR, AIR, EAR, BOA, VIA, OIL, etc. would be a good starting point. Gives you a center vowel for another line as well... </span hide> If you count "Y" as a vowel, the following template opens up lots of possibilities...

    <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #FFFF00; font-weight: bold"> <pre>_ E _
    A Y E
    _ E _</pre>

    </span hide>
