Stationery only opens files in HTML (OE version 6)

Hi, I often save backgrounds that I like into my folder C:/program files/common files/microsoft shared/stationery usually the choice is BMP or GIF but when I'm in OE writing a message and try to retrieve one of them, I can only see HTML files and there are no options to open "All Files". How can I apply my favorite stationery to my Emails? <img src=/S/groan.gif border=0 alt=groan width=16 height=15> Thanks in advance.

You can not use image files as stationery and must use html files. It is very easy to create an html file in OE that uses your chosen image file as the background.

In OE select "Message>New Message Using>Select Stationery..."
Click on the "Create New..." button which will start an easy to follow wizard for creating new stationery.

Be careful, if the image is a large file it will slow down the sending and receiving of the email.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Thanks Tony55! I tried that procedure and it works. I guess I'll have to change all my .GIF and .JPG into HTML files that I want to use as stationery.
