Some of my Access/VBA help is missing (Access 2003

My environment: Clean edition of WindowsXP and Office2003 Pro installed by Dell on a new empty PC. (None of the help omissions of previous Office editions.) One section of my Access VBA help seems to be missing.

What happens: (For this example I created an invalid SQL statement with which to open an ADO recordset, but this happens to me in all database error situations.) When a runtime error occurs, I receive, as I should, an error window containing in line one "Run-time error '(the error number)'", in line two the reason for the error, and along the bottom of the window four buttons captioned "Continue" (always grayed out), End,. Debug and Help. Clicking on Help always results in a window titled Microsoft Visual Basic Help followed by a completely blank screen. Can anyone tell me how to get that portion of the help system that is missing?

    Thank you,

    John Littell

Help is fundamentally broken since the introduction of HTML help; the same occurs in Access 2002 and probably Access 2000, and I don't think there is a solution. Microsoft hasn't crosslinked the various help files properly.

If you select Help | Microsoft Visual Basic Help in the Visual Basic Editor for Microsoft Access, only the standard VBA help is available, nothing specific to Access (including DAO, ADO and SQL). However, if you type an Access-specific term in a module window or in the Immediate window and press F1, the appropriate help will be displayed (in most cases), and the Contents tab contains Access-specific items.

    Hans,
Thank you for your explanation. I'm not happy but I'll try to follow your suggestion when I get errors, (I get a lot of them).
